Goodness, three months? That’s crazy! Do you know what else is crazy? Going seventy-five words over the ten thousand word mark in the encyclopedia. Wow! Don’t believe me? Check it out for yourself. Tolkien Encyclopedia. And forty pages! Whew!
Meanwhile, we’ve reached the forging of the Rings of Power in the timeline. Tolkien sometimes describes things in great detail. I think next summer I’ll try to recreate some of them. On my list would be the Rings of Power, the Gates of Gondolin, Ulmo’s horn, and Turin’s Blacksword. We’ll see what else comes up.
I’m really liking the new family tree system. It’s so much easier than before. Here are the four pages so far:

I’m going to have fun continuing this, even into the school year.
