It was a day of history, geography, art, food, bears and boats–perfect additions to ‘B’ week. The kids made and raced walnut shell boats and learned about the history of the pilgrims sailing across the Atlantic Ocean in the Mayflower “boat” which was seen through the eyes of Bary the Bear. They ate the food and drank the drink of the pilgrims–bread and ‘bubblies,’ (instead of carbonated alcohol). They also ate freeze-dried blueberries while listening to the story about the bear who loved to eat blueberries and almost everything else.
