‘B’ week had to include planting broccoli and beans (green beans). Since we claim no more than 3×3 feet of soil to ourselves on this planet, we planted a mini garden along with a few pots. We had a friend join us who is also working through a letter-of-the-week school year and they loved every minute of digging their fingers, and toes, in the dirt! They each drew a picture of broccoli with ladybugs, the “good guys”; and aphids, the “bad guys” to go in their binders. Then, they finished with a broccoli (and cauliflower) snack.
